The USDA BioPreferred Program is an initiative led by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) that certifies products that carry the seal are composed in whole or in significant parts of renewable agricultural derivatives, renewable chemicals and/or forest materials and are derived of raw materials, such as plants and other renewable agricultural, marine and forest materials.
